Winter in Hudiksvall

With its special geographical location facing the sea with the forest-covered mountains at its back, the municipality of Hudiksvall has a lot to offer in the wintertime: 

Long-distance ice-skating across lakes and fjords, downhill-skiing at Hedebacken and Fågelhällan, snowmobiling along specially-designated snowmobile trails, and cross-country skiing on the many fine cross-country ski trails throughout the municipality are just a few ways to enjoy the Swedish countryside during the winter months.  Dog-sledding, ice-fishing and horse-drawn sleigh rides are also exciting alternatives.  Additionally, Hudiksvall is conveniently located close to the winter skiing facilities at Järvsö and Hassela.
