Shopping in Hudiksvall

There are many nice shops in the municipality of Hudiksvall, with a wide variety of things to buy.  There is also an abundance of craftspeople and artists, actively creating and selling handicrafts and art that you just won’t find anywhere else.  Locally-grown food and food products are also available.

Hudiksvall is Hälsingland’s largest shopping centre.  Shopping here is a very pleasant experience, especially in the summer when you can stroll around from one nice shop to another surrounded by beautiful flower gardens, water fountains and works of art.  The city is made up of a large downtown area where you can find both larger chain stores, as well as smaller locally-owned speciality shops.  Shop-owners here cooperate in a project meant to stimulate local retail business and together they organise longer opening hours on the last Saturday of every month, as well as special events.
